My interest in martial arts began with my father who
attained the rank of 2nd Dan in Karate.
Both he and my mother were always
interested in how the do jang and students were doing.
After their passing, my uncle and aunt,
Ted and Dianne Williamson of Guelph, Ontario, suggested that they would
like to set up a memorial to my parents in recognition of their interest
and support.
Since most students have
“Black Belt” as a goal, we thought it fitting that we recognize those
who achieve this.
The plaque you see above was generously
donated by my aunt and uncle in memory of Fred and Shirley Stoerig and
the students of Fall River Taekwon-Do greatly appreciate this kind
gesture.
As each student achieves
Black Belt their name, rank and grading date will be inscribed on the
plaque and they will be able to take it home to display until the next
person grades.
